Saudi Arabia with Riyadh won the competition for Expo 2030 in the first round of voting at the 173rd General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions in Paris, with two-thirds of the votes, or 119 votes out of 182 voting countries. Busan, South Korea, finished in second with 29 votes, while Rome came in third with 17 choices. At 2:30 p.m. yesterday, each of the three competing nations was allotted twenty minutes to present their initiative. Trudy Styler, Bebe Vio, and Sabrina Impacciatore provided testimonies for Rome. The major address was given by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who asked people to "vote for Rome" in a video message because "it also means creating a platform for young people from all over the world to study together and start new businesses together.
