The parents of Filippo Turetta, who were expected to meet their son in prison at Verona's Montorio Prison, have given up meeting their son in jail. Nicola Turetta and Elisabetta Martini, the father and mother of Giulia Cecchettin's femicide, had obtained permission from the prosecutor to enter the penitentiary institution to see their son, but decided not to follow lawyer Giovanni Caruso for the interview. The two parents would take some more time, both because of the emotional implications of the meeting and to prepare him under the best conditions. The waiver was reportedly motivated by the need to seek psychological help, both for the young man and for them.
