Attempt at robbery on the highway connecting Turin and Milan, shortly after 6 a.m. yesterday. A commando endeavored to obstruct the path of an armored vehicle by repositioning a truck laterally along the roadway. The driver of the vehicle, however, was able to evade the impediment and continue driving. He exited the highway and made his way to safety when he reached the toll booth. According to what is known, some gunshots were fired, but no one was injured. To slow down their pursuers, the bandits sprinkled nails across the road surface. As a result, traffic on the highway has been disrupted in the vicinity for quite some time.
