Mario Roggero, the Cuneo jeweler who responded to an attempted robbery in his shop in Grinzane Cavour on April 28, 2021, murdering two criminals and injuring a third, was condemned to 17 years in jail in the first instance. The verdict was handed this morning by the Asti Assize Court. The prosecution sought 14 years in prison for him, while the jeweler's defense sought acquittal. It was a case of double voluntary homicide plus one attempted homicide, according to the judges.
