The gift rush kicks off for 4 out of 10 Italians who are waiting for the last 15 days before Christmas to shop. This is according to a Coldiretti/Ixe' analysis in taking stock of the Italians' long weekend of shopping over the December 8 holiday. While as many as 33 percent of Italians have already shopped, driven in part by Black Friday and Cyber Monday offers, the majority are waiting for the last two weeks without caring about the crowds. A good portion of Italians will wait for the arrival of the 13th month pay, but there are many who have chosen the December 8 bridge to buy gifts to put under the tree right from December 8 in as many as 86 percent of homes according to the Coldiretti/Ixè survey.
