Men's fashion created in Italy will end 2023 with revenues of over 15 billion euros (11 billion if only apparel and accessories are considered), a 5% rise over last year. Italian fashion, which has expanded into adjacent sectors including as jewelry and eyewear, will conclude the year with revenues of 103 billion euros, up 4% from 2022, according to Carlo Capasa, head of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. Exports increased by 6.3% in the first nine months of the year, led by allied industries (eyewear, jewelry, costume jewelry, and cosmetics), which increased by 16 percent. The trade surplus is also positive, increasing by €2.4 billion in the first eight months of 2023 compared to the same time in 2022, and is forecast to exceed €40 billion by the end of the year.
