Minister Guido Crosetto presently resides in a 220-square-meter penthouse and super penthouse in Rome's Aurelia neighborhood. He has been living there with his wife, Graziana Saponara, and their children for four months, but he has not paid the rent. This is the conclusion of an inquiry conducted by Il Fatto Quotidiano. The house, in fact, belongs to Carmine Saladino, a cybersecurity entrepreneur. The entrepreneur was meant to refurbish it, but the job took too long, so he would have decreased the rent payment. Until last October, the minister paid for the old residence. According to the publication, there was a contract of possession and valid detention. Crosetto also refused to pay because the landlord was to fault for the inconvenience. Also, Saladino stated that the minister does not pay rent at this time because the property is still undergoing construction; he will begin making rent payments in January 2024.
