Workers returning to Italy from abroad from next year will have their income taxes halved for four years, within the maximum threshold of 600,000 euros, as long as they have at least a bachelor's degree (even a three-year degree) on their resume that gives them the "high qualification”. The passes of the tax discount, unlike initial assumptions, will also open for those who return without changing company or group: in this case, however, they will have to stay in Italy for at least six years, or seven if they worked for the same company even before moving abroad. The decree implementing the chapter of the tax reform dedicated to international taxation also halves the taxes of companies that bring activities back to Italy (reshoring). Those who move their registered residence as of next January 1 will be included in the new rules.
