Double meeting yesterday on regional candidacies between the center-right leadership. According to reports, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the leaders of the Lega and Forza Italia, Matteo Salvini and Antonio Tajani, met at Palazzo Chigi in the late morning and then again over lunch. Palazzo Chigi specified that the morning meeting also discussed immigration with the participation of Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and Undersecretary to the Prime Minister Alfredo Mantovano. The tension in the center-right concerns especially Sardinia, which is up for vote on February 25, where the Lega insists on Solinas' encore while Fratelli d'Italia has already chosen Truzzu.
