"No more catwalks, no more government of fascists, you are not welcome, money to school not to war”. This was how Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was greeted by about 50 protesters in Bologna, where she had arrived yesterday to sign with Governor Stefano Bonaccini and Minister Raffaele Fitto the new agreement on Development and Cohesion Funds, which guarantees investments of nearly 600 million euros in Emilia-Romagna. Protesters, guarded by a large group of armed forces, chanted slogans against the chief executive and her policies. "Answers, answers, we are not your catwalk. Keep your promises. Respect, respect, respect," the protesters chanted. Despite the protests, there were no tense moments. Later in the day, the Prime Minister met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Forlì and then discussed with local institutions and Regional President Bonaccini the European funds to be allocated to the territories, businesses and families affected by last May's flooding. Even in the town, there was no shortage of protests at the Prime Minister's address, shouting "promises in the mud".
