The first all-European private commercial space mission has launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, with the Italian system playing a key role. On the International Space Station, 13 Italian projects (out of a total of 30) will be tested, to pave the way for Mady in Italy research and industry for the prospective market of extra-atmospheric economics. Colonel Walter Villadei of the Italian Air Force will pilot the Crew Dragon spacecraft provided by SpaceX for Axiom's third mission (AX-3), which will remain in orbit for two weeks alongside Spanish captain Michael Lopez Alegria, Swede Marcus Wandt, and Alper Gezeravci, Turkey's first astronaut in space. Villadei will undertake the first tests on scientific research and industrial solutions in microgravity. A racing car boutique, Dallara, will conduct gamma ray testing on composite fibers; Barilla, which will transport 3 kilograms of fusilli into orbit for al dente sampling 400 kilometers above the earth; and the private health organization GVM (telemedicine), which will be responsible for health surveillance.
