In Italy, how old must you be to obtain a driver's license? According to a survey commissioned by the Facile.it portal and conducted by mUp Research and Norstat, Italian drivers earned their driver's license at an average age of 19 years and 10 months. More specifically, 50% of respondents received their driver's license at the age of 18, 23% at the age of 19, and 10% at the age of 20; only one in every six obtained it after the age of 21. If, in general, more than 9 out of 10 Italians aged 18 to 74 have a driver's license - in particular, 94% of the male sample interviewed and 90% of the female sample - men get their license almost a year earlier than women: at 19 years and 5 months, to be exact, compared to the female champion's 20 years and 4 months.
