Riva, dubbed the "Ferrari of the sea," will make its market debut in a fully electric version. The Riva El-Iseo, a 27-foot (8.4-metre) motorboat, was presented at the Boot boat show in Düsseldorf. It is the first model with a fully electric engine from a top brand, embodies boating history, and is the first in the world to be certified by Rina in category B, i.e. a boat designed for wind force up to grade 8 on the Beaufort scale and a wave height of up to and including 4 meters. Open hulls are rarely certified. The boat's prototype was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Club at the end of 2022, followed by extensive tests in various situations and environments, which culminated to the motorboat's official launch in recent days. Riva El-Iseo maintains the traditional stern propulsion system and is equipped with a full electric engine from the American multinational Parker Hannifin, with lithium batteries and a power of 250 kilowatts and 300 peak, allowing it to sail at 25 knots at cruising speed and 40 knots at top speed.
