"It is a source of great pride for all of us that we have reached the global sales milestone of 10,000 cars”, stated Stephan Winkelmann, chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. The government intervened in 2015 to save Lamborghini production in Italy. Less than ten years later, all records were shattered, with 10,112 automobiles built. Lamborghini is owned by Audi and part of the German Volkswagen group, yet it remains entirely Italian. Sant'Agata Bolognese is home to the sole 160-thousand-square-meter production factory where, for sixty years, it has held on to its heritage. Respect for employees is one of the trademarks of success: a month ago, an agreement was made for a four-day work week without a pay cut, a first in the European auto industry. It is no accident that the organization is ranked among the Top Employers in 2024. Last year, Lamborghini shipped 10% more vehicles than in 2022, reaching 54 markets. The United States sold 3000 units, Germany about a thousand, China nearly 900, and Italy 409.
