Two South Tyroleans died in a heli-skiing helicopter crash in Canada on Monday afternoon. The young men were part of a group that was heli-skiing at Terrace in British Columbia. The Canadian pilot of the aircraft also died. Four other people who were on the craft are injured and are in serious condition. The South Tyrolean victims are one of the Oberrauch heirs, a well-known dynasty of merchants from Bolzano, and entrepreneur Widmann of Texmarket. Also among the injured is Emilio Zierock of the Trentino-based Foradori winery. The heli-skiing helicopter crashed around 4 p.m. in a mountainous area in the Skeena Mountains for reasons that are being investigated.
