Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, the 28-year-old son of Luxottica's recently deceased founder, has taken over from the estate his parent's Rolls-Royce Phantom, which the heirs (Leonardo Maria himself and his five siblings) had placed among the assets to be disposed of to make cash and pay off part of the creditors. The Luxottica patron also owned a Lamborghini Urus 636, sold for 205,000 euros, and a Fiat Qubo. Milano Finanza newspaper writes that after an ad hoc appraisal, the Rolls-Royce Phantom was sold for 425 thousand euros to the holding company Lmdv Capital, Leonardo Maria's investment vehicle. There is certainly an emotional value for the fourth son of the entrepreneur who passed away at age 87 in 2022, so much so that for the time being the car still retains the license plate of the Principality of Monaco, where Del Vecchio was a resident. However, there is also Leonardo Maria's own passion for historic racing cars.
