Silvio Berluscuoni's heirs have listed Villa Certosa in Sardinia for sale, with the Milanese real estate brokerage Dils handling the deal. The circulating numbers indicate a price of roughly $500 million, but the negotiation should begin at $280-300 million. Villa Certosa, in Porto Rotondo, was purchased in the 1970s and then entirely refurbished and expanded. It was designated as a "alternative high-security venue for the safety of the Prime Minister" during Berlusconi's tenure as prime minister". Distinguished visitors, including Vladimir Putin and George W. Bush, have passed through here. A technical analysis in January 2021 estimated a value of €259,373,950. It is a reliable document because it has been signed by Francesco Magnano, the Cavaliere's trusted surveyor. Villa Certosa is difficult to share among all five children, even if there is plenty of space: 68 rooms, a 181-square-meter garage, and an additional 174 parking places. Then, while perusing the appraisal papers, the following came to light: four villas, a theater, a tower situated in front of the theater, a greenhouse, a gym, thalassotherapy, and a 297-square-meter medicinal garden. Everything is enclosed by a park measuring 580,477 square meters. The royal palace of Porto Rotondo is one of the most expensive houses ever built, hence the market price may be more than the appraisal. In 2009, there was talk of a 450 million dollar offer from the United Arab Emirates, and in 2015, Berlusconi would have shown the residence's beauty to the son of the King of Arabia: the request appears to have been 500 million. Yet, nothing was done about it.
