Lewis Hamilton could move to Ferrari. The sensational rumor is reported by Corriere della Sera, which tells of a marked interest of the seven-time world champion to dress in red as early as 2025. Sir Lewis' two-year contract with Mercedes should not be an insuperable obstacle: even in Formula 1 everything has a price. Hamilton - who should take Sainz's place - is chairman John Elkann's big dream. The most successful F1 driver ever (103 wins, but the last one is dated December 2021, in Jeddah) had been chased several times in different seasons - frequent were his visits to the factory to order road-going models -, but previous negotiations did not persuade him to leave Mercedes. This time the story may be different precisely because of the temptation of the champion to close his career at Ferrari, trying to win an eighth title to add more legend. Thirty-nine years old on January 7, he would move on after passing 40. The financial demands are surmountable - today Lewis earns around 40 million a year -, the hurdle if anything is the agreement with Mercedes until 2025. But faced with an irresistible attraction, contracts - as they said - can be overcome.
