Traveling to discover history and traditions in search of one's roots, deseasonalization, the trend to opt for destinations or periods with milder and cooler climates to escape the record summer heat. These will be some of the new tourism trends addressed during BIT - Borsa Internazionale del Turismo (International Tourism Exchange), hosted at the Allianz MiCo convention center in Milan from February 4 to 6 and organized by Fiera Milano. It is one of the main events related to the world of tourism, both Italian and international, as well as an opportunity to take stock of the state of innovation in the sector. "Digital represents, at the same time, a challenge and an important driver of development for an increasingly competitive and sustainable tourism industry," said the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, speaking during the first day of the event to emphasize the importance of publicizing the activities of Italian companies and finding useful information, sector data and moments of in-depth analysis in favor of the growth of companies and the entire Italian tourism ecosystem. Among the event's numbers, some 1,100 exhibitors came from 66 countries, with 26 new destinations deciding to promote themselves at the trade show event for the first time.
