A 17-year-old student was arrested yesterday by police in Varese on charges of injury for stabbing a teacher at the entrance of his school. Officers intervened at the Enaip vocational institute around 8:00 a.m. and apprehended the boy who, according to reconstructions, allegedly stabbed the teacher in the back with a weapon brought from home. The 57-year-old teacher works at the school the minor attends and was taken to Varese Hospital in code yellow and not in life-threatening condition. The woman was reportedly shot three times. Police officers found and seized the weapon, a switchblade. At the time of the attack, the other students were already in the classroom: two of the victim's colleagues, who were later heard at the police station, allegedly witnessed the attack. According to findings, the 17-year-old has behavioral problems and is taking individualized courses.
