The women in the competition ("I am sure we will have a top five with very welcome female presences"), the thirty songs that will participate ("I have a hard time reducing the number of singers"), possible controversies ("about the tractor protest? Just and sacrosanct, but no one has contacted me") and a clarification: "My Festivals are neither right- nor left-leaning". Amadeus, for the fifth year artistic director and host of the Sanremo Festival, spoke yesterday at a press conference from the Ariston Theater in the City of Flowers. He answered reporters' questions with his friend Fiorello, who will be co-host of the final night, next to him: "I can't wait! You will finally see me as a presenter and we will do fun things," assured the multifaceted showman. Unfailing comedy skits, jokes, laughter: this is just a taste of what we will see on the Ariston stage on Saturday. Meanwhile, everything is ready for the first night of the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival: tonight on Rai1, Italian music will once again take center stage with established artists and young talents, all set to perform in what is now an iconic and historic venue, the Ariston Theater. Thirty artists will take the stage, including three talents selected through Sanremo Giovani. As has become tradition, Amadeus will be joined by co-hosts. For some it will be the first time at the Ariston, for others a return in a different capacity than usual: today it will be the turn of Sanremo 2023 winner Marco Mengoni, on Wednesday the 1995 winning singer Giorgia, on Thursday the actress Teresa Mannino, and on Friday will be time for Lorella Cuccarini.
