After a weekend of work and discussion with the various exponents of the center-right, the Minister for Reforms Elisabetta Casellati found a synthesis between the various positions, modifying the part of the bill that had been discussed. According to legislative sources, the amended clause now states that "in the event of revocation of confidence in the elected Prime Minister, by means of a reasoned motion, the President of the Republic shall dissolve the Chambers". On the other hand, "in the event of the elected Prime Minister's voluntary resignation, following parliamentary information, he may propose, within seven days, the dissolution of the Chambers to the President of the Republic, who orders it. If he does not exercise this power, and in the event of death, permanent impediment, or disqualification, the President of the Republic may, for a single time during the legislature, delegate the task of forming the Government to the resigning Prime Minister or another Member of Parliament elected in connection with the Prime Minister".
