The farmers' protest also comes to San Remo, the epicenter of the country's attention during the week of the Festival. "We accept the proposal of the Festival's Artistic Director Amadeus, who has proposed to welcome a delegation of farmers on the stage of the Ariston," the national coordination of Riscatto Agricolo (the movement that is leading the protest) announced in a note, announcing that "a delegation of about 15 tractors will leave from the Melegnano garrison this evening around 8 p.m. and will reach Sanremo in the night". There should be four representatives of the category who will take the stage at the Festival. RAI, however, has "categorically denied having had any kind of contact with the farmers". The farmers' protest had come about to push for a revision of the European Green Deal, to counter unfair competition and the spread of "synthetic foods", and to encourage recognition of the value of Made in Italy.
