Seventy-six percent of students identify school as the main site of bullying incidents: this is revealed in the GenZ Insight Report by ScuolaZoo, the largest student community in Italy, in partnership with C'è Da Fare, an organization that is actively involved in supporting projects for young adolescents in psychological and psychiatric difficulties. The survey - released on the occasion of the National Day against Bullying and Cyberbullying - involved 1,338 boys and girls, ages 14 to 20, and explored the perceptions and opinions of Generation Z regarding the fight against bullying and cyberbullying. The results show that 45 percent of students think that within their school the phenomenon of bullying is not adequately addressed and managed, while 30 percent believe that the phenomenon is only partially addressed. Another interesting finding reveals that only 8 percent of schools have adopted an effective protocol for dealing with the problem. Sixty-nine percent of students claim that an anti-bullying protocol does not exist (or they do not know of its existence), while 20 percent know of its existence but consider it insufficient. The report also shows that only 18 percent among students who have witnessed bullying have informed an adult or teacher.
