The 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival, the most important music competition in Italy, has entered into full swing. Last night 15 of the 30 competing singers performed on the historic Ariston stage, each presented by a fellow contestant. Joining Amadeus as co-host was Italian singer Giorgia, who performed some of her hits. There was great emotion midway through the evening at the arrival of musician, composer and conductor Giovanni Allevi, who was struck down by myeloma two years ago. Last night, on the Ariston stage, Allevi performed again in front of an audience for the first time in two years with the song "Tomorrow". "Not being able to count on my body, I will play with all my soul," he promised before sitting down at the piano. There were many international guests on the second night, starting with John Travolta, who taught Amadeus some steps from "Saturday Night Fever", "Grease" and "Pulp Fiction." Immediately afterwards, the presenter and actor exited the theater and joined comedian Fiorello for the most surreal gag of the night: the three danced the "Chicken Dance" (“Il Ballo del Qua Qua”) in the square in front of the Ariston. Dismissing John Travolta (who did not sign the release for the replay of the images, which is why the segment will be removed from the RaiPlay platform), it was the turn of French DJ Bob Sinclair, who made the audience dance on the Costa Smeralda, the cruise ship docked in front of the city of Sanremo and an "appendage" of the festival for several years. At the end of the evening, the top 5 positions of the partial ranking, decided only for the 15 who performed by televoting and radios, were revealed. In the lead is the neo-melodic trapper Geolier.
