The humanitarian operation aimed at Lebanese refugees who in recent months, following clashes between Israel and Hezbollah militias, have had to abandon the cities close to the demarcation line between the two countries - the well-known "Blue Line" - has concluded. Lebases refugees, moving north, found shelter at the refugee center in Tyre, in the sphere of competence of the Italian military operating in UNIFIL's Sector West Command. Last December, in fact, the solidarity machine that resulted in the formation of a civil-military cooperation activity (CIMIC) directed by the Joint Operational Command (COVI), commanded by Army Corps General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, and the non-profit organization "Vivere per Amare - Live to Love" was inaugurated. The "Let's Help Tiro" project was created in response to a request for assistance made by the Refugee Center's head of emergency and Tyre's mayor to the CIMIC cell of the Italian contingent in Lebanon. COVI encouraged many actors and donors to work together to ensure the operation's success. Commencing with the initiative "Vivere per Amare – Live to Love," which facilitated the retrieval of two containers containing medical supplies for the hospital, two chemical bathrooms, a generator, blankets and clothing, flour, rice, sugar, legumes, tomato and chocolate, fruit juices, and children's biscuits.
