Renault's CEO, Italian Luca de Meo, may earn a salary rise at the French automaker's next general meeting, slated for May 16. Les Echos reported that in 2022, de Meo received 3.2 million euros in pay, which included a gross salary of 1.3 million and a variable portion of 1.9 million. A total remuneration of 4.5 million euros, including the payment of shares for long-term performance. The 2023 payout follows the same trend, with a 30% increase in Renault's stock, according to the French daily. According to a source acquainted with the situation, the package implemented during the second term, which was discounted due to the French house's great results, will be accompanied by a "substantial" rise in cash income. The French newspaper remembers that Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, received 15 million euros in 2022, which increased to 23.5 million with long-term bonuses: nonetheless, the CEO of Stellantis leads a business four times larger than Renault.
