"The Interministerial Committee for Maritime Safety has unanimously resolved to safely reopen commercial operations for Italian ships in the Israeli ports of Ashdod and Eliat, which are resuming their activities in addition to the already operational port of Haifa". Edoardo Rixi, an MP and deputy minister at MIT, stated this in a note yesterday. "The decision will allow operators to return to vital ports for the country's trade, such as Haifa, which is one of the logistics hubs on the new 'cotton route'. A breath of fresh air for our shipowners and the national ports that are linked to Israeli ports", the member of the government remarked.
