The magical moment for the Italian women in alpine skiing continues. After Marta Bassino's victory and Federica Brignone's second place in Saturday's downhill, the azzurre confirmed their momentum on Sunday by taking third place with Bassino and second place with Brignone in the Super-G held again on the slopes of Crans Montana in Switzerland. Austrian Stephanie Venier was able to do better than the azzurre thanks to better sliding skills in the central "flat" of the Swiss slope. Bassino is thus definitely out of the difficult moment that had gripped her this season, a difficult moment mainly due to problems with the materials. Federica Brignone, with today's second place remains in the running to win the overall World Cup given the continued absence due to injury of U.S. star Mikaela Shiffrin. Brignone's main rival is Switzerland's Lara Gut-Behrami, who continues to lead the world rankings.
