In recent days, Emmanuel Macron, the French President, has been fearing the intervention of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory. A path that does not convince the Italians at all. According to a survey conducted by Political Thermometer, 49.8% think it is madness and that we should instead stop sending weapons and get Ukraine to negotiate, even if it meant conceding territory to Russia. 29.7% of the sample opposed sending troops because of the risk of escalation, but confirmed that they would continue to send arms to Kiev. On the other hand, there is a 10.8% who favor direct NATO military intervention in Ukraine to prevent Russia's victory. Finally, 7.3% of people would opt for a middle choice, preferring to send troops to countries that are closer to Ukraine and do not harbor nuclear weapons. Staying on the Ukrainian front, readers have been asked what they thought of the 10-year bilateral agreement signed by Meloni and Zelensky. Again, there were no "definitive" answers, and the sample split quite heterogeneously. The most frequent response - chosen by 34.8% of the sample - is to disagree with the commitment to send more arms or military aid, and that it should have stopped at humanitarian support. On the other hand, 29.7% of respondents believe that this agreement is also fair and just to show seriousness to European partners. Then, there is 18.2% who consider themselves totally against it and that we are supporting the wrong side. Only 10.5% (least popular answer) believe that this agreement is not enough and that we should increase military aid right away.
