The Norwegian weekend of the Women's Alpine Ski World Cup ended in the name of Federica Brignone. On the legendary Olympiabakken in Kvitfjell, in fact, the champion from Valle d'Aosta took first place in the super-G bis, which was interrupted several times due to fog. The Italian, who took to the track with bib number 10, literally swept the field despite poor visibility, finishing her run with a time of 1:37.30. Nothing to do for both Switzerland's Lara Gut-Behrami (+0.61) and Czech Ester Ledecka (+0.79), who had to settle for the second and third steps of the podium, respectively. The 25th career success in the top circuit allowed Brignone to pull away from both Sofia Goggia and Gustavo Thoeni on the list of all-time winningest Italian skiers. "I've always said that I don't want to win a 'race-pack' - Federica confessed at the finish line - Today I certainly can't say that I came down with the best conditions, just look at the pictures. Then, probably, some athletes who came down after me found a worse situation: I'm sorry. What I can say is that it was harder waiting than the race itself," she concluded. When there is only one race left to the end of the season, moreover, the situation remained unchanged in the specialty ranking, in which the Italian retained third place with 466 points behind the aforementioned Gut-Behrami (540 points) and Austria's Cornelia Huetter (471 points).
