On Saturday, May 4th, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan will celebrate the 160th anniversary of the Italian Red Cross and the Milan Quartet Society. On stage, the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta, together with the greatest living violinist, the Israeli Maxim Vengerov, will present a program of immortal pieces among the most loved by audiences from all over the world. At the opening and closing, two Beethoven masterpieces such as the Leonore Overture No. 3 in C major op.72b and the Symphony No. 7 in A major op. 92. In between, Mendelssohn's virtuosic and passionate Concerto for violin and orchestra in E minor op.64.
