Just days before the opening of the 2024 MotoGP season, Ducati Corse and Francesco Bagnaia put a future together on paper, announcing the signing of the agreement that binds the two-time MotoGP World Champion to the Borgo Panigale motorcycle manufacturer for the 2025 and 2026 seasons as well. The contract renewal gives continuity to an all-Italian winning partnership: a perfect combination between the technology and performance of the Desmosedici GP and the talent, passion and determination of Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia. Born in Turin in 1997 and a resident of Pesaro, Bagnaia joined Ducati with the Pramac Racing team in 2019 and, with the extension of his current contract, he would enter even more firmly into the history of the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer, becoming the second rider to bind himself to Ducati for a full eight years. Pecco rose to prominence in 2020 by earning his first podium in MotoGP at his home race in Misano Adriatico, and in 2021 he was promoted to the factory team. In his first year riding the red Ducati Lenovo Team bike, he came close to winning the world title, finishing second overall after a sensational season finale. 2022 is the year of consecration for Bagnaia, who wins his first riders' title in MotoGP, also becoming the first Italian to do so on an Italian bike: the Desmosedici GP. It is also the second world riders' title for Ducati, after the one won by Casey Stoner in 2007, 15 years earlier. With the number 1 on his fairing, Pecco is confirmed as World Champion again in 2023 thanks to another exhilarating season, marked by 15 podiums, 7 victories and 7 pole positions.
