The Marzotto group no longer belongs to the Marzotto family. The new owner of a company that has made the history of Italian capitalism is manager Antonio Favrin, who with his family members gained full control of Trenora, a holding company to which, through a further step (the company Wizard), the Marzotto Group is precisely headed. It happened in front of the notary with a contest at the envelopes on the best offer: Faber Five, Favrin's safe, won it for only 10 thousand euros more than the value put on the plate (32 million euros) by the heirs of Andrea Donà Dalle Rose (son in turn of Italia Marzotto), who had been CEO and major shareholder of the textile company until his death in September 2022. Only 10 thousand euros difference, or 0.025 percent of the revenues - amounting to 400 million euros - that the group made last year. In short, the man who has been a manager and strategist in the company for almost sixty years, to the point of becoming its co-owner, won the day: his Faber Five already owned 40 percent in Trenora, in equal shares with the Donà Dalle Rose, a package that he will now buy out, rising to 80 percent. This simply means that there will no longer be any heir to the Marzotto dynasty at the helm. The exit of the last branch of the Marzotto family symbolically closes an epic that dates back to 1836, the year the Valdagno Wool Mill was founded.
