A well-established business of dealing and exploiting prostitution in an unsuspected residential apartment on the northern outskirts of Turin. About ten women, including mothers and students, were prostituting themselves in exchange for a few doses of crack. Dealers and clients were managed by 53 transsexual Monique, who was sentenced in an abbreviated procedure to 2 years and 8 months imprisonment and a 3,000 euro fine for exploitation of prostitution. The affair came to light in 2021, when a university student had approached the Settimo Torinese Carabinieri, but learned of it only recently. "I was studying psychology and in order to pay for crack, I was prostituting myself," said the young woman, quoted by the newspaper Repubblica, "I was using narcotics. I still take them. Crack does it to you. You only think about that and you always want more. If they told me to do something, I used to do it for crack. Even for 5 euros”. The student then recounted how it worked inside the "House of Crack”. Monique would "invite her to parties where they would offer me a smoke and I would go. Other times I would arrive with my client. Monique would also attend the parties, using crack. Clients would call, come and have relations with everyone," she explained, "Monique or even me, or others. They would just pay for crack. They would stand there and smoke. Crack unfortunately leads you to want more and more”.
