The Italian digital technology hub operating in San Francisco for a little over a year, directed by Alberto Acito, is called Innovit. It is a structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that gathers in a building between the financial district and the North Beach neighborhood, an educational center, an exhibition space, a conference room, the headquarters of the Foreign Trade Institute and that of the Italian Cultural Institute. A place where, under the direction of Italian Consul Sergio Strozzi, cultural events and training activities are held. These days, 30 Artificial Intelligence startups have completed the first of six training programs offered this year by Innovit. There were, among others, managers from Smallpixels, a startup that has developed AI video technology (already used by networks such as Sky) through which bandwidth consumption can be reduced while improving image quality; Spoki, a software company from Puglia, which promises companies to make WhatsApp their best sales channel; Milan-based Wavenure, which offers solutions based on predictive AI to assist investment decisions in asset management; and finally, Rome-based Caelus has embarked on the "safe nuclear" challenge. In total, 50 entrepreneurs and 30 companies submitted themselves to the judgment of investors, who corrected mistakes and encouraged possible developments.
