An Air Force C-130 aircraft landed at Ciampino military airfield Wednesday, transporting citizens in need of medical care from the Gaza Strip. The third flight since the start of operations was organized by the Foreign Ministry's Crisis Unit and the Joint Operational Command (COVI). The operation is part of a series of earlier medical evacuations ordered by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani and Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto. owing to the deployment of the Navy ship "Vulcano" and Air Force vehicles, these operations have so far facilitated the transfer of 85 Palestinian civilians, who are currently lodged in Italian health institutions with their companions, owing to the actions of the Ministries of Interior and Health. The civilians evacuated yesterday, primarily relatives of compatriots or Palestinians living in Italy, were joined by two wounded Red Crescent volunteers from Gaza, whom the Lazio Region offered to hospitalize at local health facilities at the request of the President of the Red Crescent. In total, 45 persons were on board.
