Since the establishment of the first hotel in Rome in 1963, Hilton has created a diverse portfolio of hotels in Italy, which now includes approximately 50 hotels in operation or under development. This rise has also been fueled by the introduction of new brands in recent years, such as the luxury brand Conrad Hotels & Resorts and Hilton's first Tapestry Collection hotels. "In the last year alone, we have opened five hotels in locations such as Venice, Bologna, and Sardinia", says Simon Vincent, Executive Vice President and President Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Looking ahead, Vincent says, "In 2026, we will bring our luxury collection brand, LXR Hotels & Resorts, to Lake Garda with the Grand Hotel Gardone Lake Garda. It is one of 13 hotels that will be inaugurated in the following years, and it will be a spectacular debut. This year we plan to open the Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection by Hilton, which will offer a Tuscan-inspired menu in its sunny outdoor courtyard, and Palazzo Caracciolo Naples, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, within the walls of an ancient 13th-century palace, which will become part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton this spring".
