"The position of the government (on Russia, ed.) is very clear, the center-right is a very cohesive majority, as is demonstrated in the only way you can demonstrate the cohesion of a majority, and that is in the speed of implementation and the clarity of implementation of the line of a government. What we have done in this year and a half with the speed with which we have done it, and the clarity we have shown in foreign policy, all of that tells of a cohesive majority. And I think that's always the point: that is, it doesn't matter how wide the field is, but it matters how cohesive and compatible that field is, how much it has clear answers to give to citizens and to represent abroad. And Italy, with the center-right majority, clearly is doing that". These are the words of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni responding to a question about the health of the majority after Minister Salvini's words in the aftermath of the Russian vote.
