Malo, one of the most prominent luxury cashmere labels, plans to reopen a New York boutique on Madison Avenue by Christmas. Walter Maiocchi, the entrepreneur who resurrected the premium brand launched in 1972 in Portofino, describes his company as follows: "We utilize the best cashmere in Mongolia and work it with meticulous care in our factories in Campi di Bisenzio and Piacenza. And to remind you that we are considerably more than "made in Italy," we also say "made in Malo," with two model companies that are environmentally sustainable, employ one hundred artisans, and continue to use English looms from the 1970s for production. Although these looms operate at a slower pace than electronic ones, they ultimately ensure the creation of a one-of-a-kind and superior product". Malo was founded by the Canessa brothers, Alfredo and Giacomo, two authoritative and recognized cashmere kings who have helped their brand gain fame. Malo, like all premium labels, has boutiques in key locations like as Milan, Rome, Forte dei Marmi, Venice, Porto Rotondo, and Verona. In addition, there are 12 international franchises. The next destination will be the United States of America.
