An appreciated professional, who isn't afraid to poke fun at himself to connect with children. Stefano Boeri, the mind behind Milan's Vertical Forest, becomes Archibò, the architect monkey, a character in an animated cartoon set to air in October on RAI television. Boeri's fascination with the typical imagination of young children and his ability to easily connect with it are the elements that led him to engage in this project aimed at the younger audience. It's a way of thanking the new generations after having learned so much from them, both as a professor of urban planning at the Politecnico di Milano and as a father and grandfather. The sixty-seven-year-old architect has always been closely involved with children, who accompany him in his architecture studio and with whom he interacts as a teacher, ensuring "a constant projection with those who will be the protagonists of the future," crucial, according to Boeri himself, for architects and urban planners who cannot afford to live in a bubble. He is a man with a healthy obsession for the future, who understands the importance of shedding light on the needs, frustrations, and anxieties of those who will be its protagonists.
