Following triumphs in the MotoGP and Superbike World Championships, Ducati is focusing on the Motocross market. It is expected to make its debut in 2025. Borgo Panigale, a Bologna-based manufacturer, has reached an agreement with Toni Cairoli, a historic Italian Motocross champion who helped design the proposal for an Italian bike for this discipline. The concept aims to broaden the Ducati market to a younger audience. "In Ducati's approach," adds CEO Claudio Domenicali, "there are a number of things we don't want to do, such as making tiny displacement bikes and working at the bottom of the range, even if there are market prospects. We want to maintain Ducati focused on its core competency, high-displacement and high-performance motorcycles, across multiple segments". "Now we are going to add the Motocross model," said Domenicali, "which has a strong sporting personality, an area in which we will be able to express the 'magical combination' of Ducati, technology and beauty". The Italian market remains the most important, with approximately the same numbers as the United States; in Europe, Germany leads, followed by France and the United Kingdom.
