The new "World Happiness Report", the ranking of the happiest countries in the world, has been published. Finland triumphs for the seventh consecutive year, in last position Afghanistan. However, Italy is only 41st. Surprising is the marked difference between fifth place for Israel and 102nd for Palestine. The top ten remains fairly unchanged from pre-Covid phase: it includes all five Nordic countries, including Denmark in second place. There are changes, however, with some Eastern European countries climbing places in the rankings. In fact, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Slovenia go up. The United States and Germany drop to 23rd and 24th. The research focuses this year for the first time on the analysis of happiness at different stages of life.
