For the Easter holidays, around 10.5 million Italians are scheduled to travel, with 92% preferring local destinations and 8% choosing international destinations. The findings come from a poll done by Federalberghi in cooperation with Tecnè. The sea is the most frequented destination by tourists who are planning to stay in Italy (32.5 percent), followed by art resorts (28.9 percent), mountains (21.8 percent), lakes (3.4 percent), and spa resorts (2.5 percent). European capitals are the most popular destinations (74.4%), followed by cruises (10.2%) and the sea (6.3%). According to Federalberghi, if the current cost of living increase had not occurred, the turnover would have been higher. Currently, 22.6% of the money is given to travel, with 10.6% allocated to shopping. The car will be the most popular method of transportation, preferred by the majority of travelers for its convenience and flexibility of scheduling, as well as its perceived lower cost.
