Valentino is parting ways with its creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. The official news comes from the fashion house itself, which announces the "joint decision to terminate the collaboration". The departure of the designer, at the creative helm of the fashion house since 2016, will be followed by a "new creative organization" that will be "soon announced", anticipates the note issued by Valentino. "Not all stories have a beginning and an end, some live a kind of eternal present that shines with an intense light, so strong that it leaves no shadows. I have been in this company for 25 years, and for 25 years I have existed and lived together with the people who with me have woven the threads of this beautiful story that is mine and ours," said the designer. (...) Thank you to every single person who made this possible in one way or another". Piccioli's resignation is but the latest in a waltz of chairs among the creative directors of the fashion scene's leading maisons. Dating back to just over a week ago were those of Walter Chiapponi, who left the creative helm of Blumarine after just one collection, presented last February in the Milano Moda Donna calendar.
