According to the Gimbe Foundation's statistics analysis, one out of every three Italian students does not know their family doctor. The Foundation sponsored eight sessions between February 2023 and February 2024, involving 775 students in their final years of high school. During the meetings, a survey of ten questions was administered via the Mentimeter platform, and between 229 and 400 students replied (margin of error between +/- 3.4% and +/- 5.4%). In 89.2% of situations, students correctly recognized humans, animals, and the environment as the protagonists of health in accordance with the modern One Health paradigm. No other country in the world offers a model like our National Health Service to 87.5% of its population. Unfortunately, one in every three students has never visited their GP, the first "access point" to the NHS.
