The Lombardy Region has honored young Francesca Taddio and Simone Oliva, a pair of nurses who were the protagonists of an immediate intervention in Milan, thanks to which the life of a 30-year-old man caught in an illness on the train waiting platform at a station on subway line 2 was saved. Francesca is from Calabria, originally from Orsomarso in the province of Cosenza; Simone Antonio is from Campania, precisely from Castellammare di Stabia, Naples. Francesca and Simone were returning from their work shift, it was about 11 p.m., when, getting off at the Lambrate stop to go home, they were surprised by a thud. They turned around and it only took a glance between them to realize and intervene. A man had fallen to the ground, unconscious. Francesca immediately called for help; Simone, on the other hand, immediately began CPR on the young man. The very quick arrival of the ambulance and medical personnel helped ensure a happy ending to the story. The patient was transported to the hospital for further investigation while the two nurses received applause and congratulations for their gesture and professionalism from those present. Francesca took this opportunity to appeal to citizens to learn life-saving maneuvers for everyone.
