A Romanian couple has been charged with concealment of a corpse after investigators found a frozen fetus in their home on the outskirts of Rome. The macabre discovery was made after a report to the police, by a hospital, of a woman who had presented to the emergency room with heavy bleeding, which she said had not been caused by a specific cause. The doctors in the gynaecology department who had examined her had discovered that the leakage of blood was the result of a miscarriage or premature birth. To clear up the mystery, the hospital forwarded the medical report to the police. When officers entered the couple's home, they found the fetus, four months old and about 30 centimeters long, frozen in the freezer.
