At least 200,000 automobiles per year. And at least one new model that, unlike those presently in production, reacts to the Italian market, preventing the government's incentives from favoring foreign customers. Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, presented the following requests to the executive team of Stellantis on the day of the table discussion regarding the Mirafiori plant. This discussion was the second of the week to focus on the automotive sector, following the one that was held yesterday on Melfi. In the course of today's conversation with Stellantis, "it emerged the need for at least 200 thousand cars to be produced at the Mirafiori plant, which in a national logic means achieving the goal, confirmed several times by the company, of one million vehicles made in our country", explains Urso. "And in order to do so, the company must specify which models, production, and thus employment levels can be used to fulfill this goal. We are only at the beginning of the road, but it is one that we must take quickly because we need precise answers from which to develop a national plan for the automotive sector".
