Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, was questioned yesterday by the Rome prosecutor's office as part of an investigation into allegations of manipulating financial records. The proceedings are tied to alleged fake capital gains associated with the 2020 purchase of striker Victor Osimhen from French club Lille. Prosecutors had encouraged the Napoli patron and other defendants to seek an indictment in this case in January. It is important to note that De Laurentiis requested and was granted the opportunity to speak before the prosecutors. However, at the end of the interview, the president of the blue club made no statements. His two lawyers attended the occasion and will provide the magistrates with a defence brief in the coming days.
